Romonza Boat Trips has been operating for more than 25 years in Mossel Bay. They offer Seal Island Trips (all year round), Eco Ocean Trips (all year round), Sunset Cruises (November to April) and Boat-Based Whale Watching with a permit and a qualified whale guide (July to October).

Romonza Boat Trips are famous for their boat trips and they are also the license holder for close encounter whale watching in the Mossel Bay area. Trips depart daily from the comfortable Mossel Bay Harbour for Seal Island and stop for a fascinating closer look at 4000 seals. Mossel Bay has the perfect mix between culture, adventure, family, activities, great local and traditional food, pristine Blue-Flag beaches, warm atmosphere, and friendly people.

Situated in the heart of the Garden Route, Mossel Bay is the perfect ‘base station’ from which to explore all the other towns that are just a scenic drive away. ‘Day trips’ is a popular term in our area, as people love to visit the Garden Route but stay in the cozy bay.

Mossel Bay isn’t all about relaxing though, because there really are so many things to do here. The below video shows us 12 minutes of Mossel Bay.

From there, traveling around the bay, you encounter a small natural kiddies pool which is perfect for the Moms to relax on the soft beach sand whilst their children splash around in this safe tiding pool.

Traveling further around the great bay comes Munro’s Bay and then Santos Beach. Santos Beach’s waves are very calm and perfect for a relaxed day in the water. Then comes Pansy Beach, followed by Dias Beach.

Dias Beach offers a lot of activities to choose from during the Summer months and creates a bit more hype with more “adventurous” waves.

Activities on Mossel Bay beaches include swimming, surfing, fishing, walking and relaxing. At all of these beaches, restaurants are situated on the shore to ensure you don’t go hungry or thirsty when wanting to spend the whole day on one of these lovely beaches.

5 Golden Rules of swimming at the beach:

Never swim alone

Always keep an eye on a fixed marker on the beach

Stay waist- to chest-deep, and keep your feet on the ground

Swim between the flags wherever lifesavers are on duty

After you eat, wait at least 30 minutes before you swim
